Patch client request page
Hi ALL, due to all the confusion on patch client and ai.ipf file, let me set the record straight.
Whenever ge.exe is updated, please DO NOT re-use the previous version as it will probably give xTrap errors.
It is OK to re-use the ai.ipf but NOT the ge.exe file.
Another FAQ I see on this forum is, "Can I have new AI for xxx GE version?"
The correct question to ask is "Is there an updated patch version of ge.exe file for your sGE, rGE, twGE, thGE, iGE etc."
Q. How to check if your patched ge.exe client is updated?
A. On every maintenance day, please backup your patched ge.exe.
After game service is up and you have finish the update, please check if the timestamp of current ge.exe is the same as the backup copy.
If same, patched ge.exe can continue to be used. Otherwise, you have to post a request here to patch your client.
Why do you need a patch ge.exe file?
It is because each ge.exe file contain a basic version of AI script that gets loaded when GE is started.
The existing ai.ipf file will NOT be loaded at all unless the internal AI script in ge.exe is corrupted or patch.
That is why people replaced the ai.ipf file with their own version and patch the ge.exe file to load their version of ai.ipf file.
For those people who needs their ge.exe patch, please post a request on this thread with the following info so that I can help you patch your ge.exe file.
1. Upload your ge.exe under C:\Program Files\Granado Espada\release\ folder to mediafire.
2. Please indicate which area and version of GE that you are using. (eg. Sword2 USA v5.23 etc)
3. Please provide a MD5 checksum of your ge.exe file for security purpose. (Download MD5 calulator & checker here.)
4. Once I patch the ge.exe file, I will post the link & MD5 checksum back on this thread for download.
I will ONLY process files upload to mediafire as they DO NOT have download counter.
ALL files uploaded to other site will NOT be process. (eg. rapidshare, hotfile, depositfiles etc)
ALL files with missing info as stated above will NOT be process as well.
Thank You for reading.

Re: Patch client request page
this is what is shown at the login screen. Ever since v4 they changed the name to Sword2 and the version was reset to 1.0.
So now it's Sword2 v1.0.7 (actually it's GE v5.0.23)

Hi, there is nothing for me to patch as your ge.exe file is the same copy as mine due to the MD5 checksum is the same.yellowcorvette wrote:I would like to request an updated exe for the US version of GE (now called Sword2)

If your ge.exe file is updated, the MD5 checksum should be different.
Please compare the date and time stamp of your ge.exe against my patched copy of ge.exe
